finding time

well blogging has been one thing that I have not been finding the time to do in my crazy life. we have had family galore the last couple of weeks and we LOVED spending time with them. unfortunately my cleaning and blogging suffered a bit.

like I said, we had family in town and it was soooo much fun to see everyone. we had not seen my brother and his family in over a year and it is hard to be away from his cute kids. we also had nate and mindy in town and spent time with them for the short time they were here. we went up the canyon last weekend to roast mallows and had such a good time. shaylie is such a chill baby, it is very easy to take her anywhere.

mylie is officially growing up. what happened to my little baby girl?!?! we finally made the big switch to mylie in her BIG bed...and believe me it is HUGE compared to my little girl. we debated forever and finally decided to put her in the queen because it was there and a big hassle to take it all down and find storage for it... so here she is. she slept great all night and even took a 2 1/2 hour nap today in it.

shaylie is getting so big. i haven't taken a ton of pictures lately, and she has changed so much, but i will get better and post some soon. she is smiling a ton and is trying to talk. she is so snuggly and we love her so much.

1 month

my sweet little Shaylie is a month old. she is such a good baby and we love her to pieces. it is hard to imagine that we were a little family of three just a month ago, and now we couldn't imagine our lives with her.

when Shaylie was born, I was afraid that I got a screaming baby and she may never stop, but I was so wrong. she loves to be held, she loves to cuddle, she LOVES to eat, she loves to sit in her bouncer, and she is already getting so big.

shaylie is starting to smile a lot. she just started smiling for me, but to has been smiling at her dad all along. we definitely have 2 daddies girls...maybe someday I will have a mama's girl or boy...but I love the fact that they love there dad.

shay loves Mylie and rarely does she mind when Mylie just lays on her. shay loves her binky. she is a grunter...she is so loud at night we will be putting her in her own room sooner than I would like. she has a really pretty skin color. she still has her brown hair that is straight as sticks. her eyes are turning a very pretty blue.

we love our little shaylie!

Happy Birthday Mylie!

Well I officially have a 2 year old!!! Mylie turned 2 on Saturday and we had a little party for her. Mylie has grown up soooo much since Shaylie was born and now she is not my little baby anymore, but my big helper. Here are some fun things about Mylie at the age of 2!

2 Weeks and 2 Years!!!

Well this is a little late, but Shay is now 3 weeks and Mylie is 2 years! I can't believe how fast Mylie has grown up. We have been adjusting quite well this last couple weeks to having 2 children. Mylie loves playing with Shay and giving her kisses all the time. Mylie has starting talking in full sentences and we are loving talking to her...She is hilarious! She is also starting to go poop on the potty. We need to be careful what we say around her now, because she won't let anything go by. Shay is growing up so fast. She is still sleeping a lot and enjoying her life as a newborn. I am trying to adjust to trying to get out of the house with 2 kids and still get something done in the day. Surely I will get it down...but not anytime soon! Here are some cute pictures and some stats...

Mylie's Stats:
23 lbs 9th%
33 in 38th%

Shaylie's Stats:
8 lbs 1 oz 37th%
21 in 77th %

We went to the mall...This is how we all felt when we got home.

The first week...

So the first week home from the hospital has been pretty good. I was a little worried at first that I was not going to have a very good sleeper, but she has proved me wrong...so far! The last couple nights I have had to wake her up to eat because I was dying. She has been so much fun to have home and Mylie can't stop loving her. Mylie has been a big help. Every time she hears Shaylie grunting or pooping she runs to get a diaper. The first couple days were rough for us though...She had high bilirubin levels and had to be under lights for 3 days. It was heartbreaking to see her in there and poor Mylie couldn't even look at her sister. But the levels are back to normal and she is a doll. We are adjusting to being a family of four now, and Chris has been super helpful. I am not looking forward to school starting for him. I am not ready to be a single mom of 2. Here are some pictures of some of our weeks events.

SHAYLIE IS HERE!!!!

Well our sweet little baby girl Shaylie Mann was born yesterday at 3:28pm. She weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. She was born with a HEALTHY set of lungs and screamed for 2 hours straight....

So here is the story...If you don't want to read it, just skip this part and go straight to the pictures. We walked into the hospital on Monday morning at 7:00 am and got all hooked up and was put on pitocin by 7:30. I was on antibiotics and they wouldn't break my water until I had had the antibiotics for 4 hours. So when my Doctor came back in, it was 12:15. I was dilated to a 2 and when he broke my water I went immediatley to a 4. I was super excited because I was SURE that it was going to go fast from there. So my nurse said she would come back in 2 hours and check me again...

In the meantime, Karlie, Nancy, & Chris were all in the room with me and we were talking to my parents on Skype. Karlie and I were laughing hysterically at EVERYTHING, but mostly we were just having a good time with my mama. So the time went pretty quick, and my nurse came back in at 2:15 for my check...She told me I was still at a 4! I immediately went from the happiest person to a pretty down in the dumps girl... So the routine is....She'll come back in 2 more hours for another check. At 3:15, my nurse came in to change my antibiotic and I told her that I was filling a little pressure and maybe she could check me sooner. She kinda looked at me like I was crazy but agreed to at least check. I told her that if I had not changed, then don't tell me and just come back in an hour.

So she checked me and told me I was at a 2...She was just teasing....and then told me that I was at a 10. I figured that she was kidding again, and I asked her again what I was at. She assured me she was not kidding and went to get my doctor. I was dying. It went so quick we were scrambling getting cameras out and ready. My doctor arrived at 3:24 and on my first contraction I pushed a set out 3 and a 4th for good luck and Shaylie was out by 3:28. It was amazing!

So now that the story is over...here are the pictures...
