Summerfest!!!

We went to summerfest again this year....Why is it that it rains EVERY YEAR!!! Well as far as tradition goes...it not only rained....IT POURED!!! We packed the kids up, and made sure they were going to be VERY warm and headed out. Just as we unloaded the car, we got to the site where we were sitting for the parade and it started coming down. We took shelter under a tree to see if it would pass quickly. It got worse and worse and finally Chris decided to set up the easy up and have some more shelter. So we sat out the storm for about 20 minutes and it started to lighten up. After about an hour it stopped, got sunny, and we rushed over to the carnival to see how long it would last good weather. We stopped to get a year supply of Sunglasses...Thank your Sunglass Lady, went to eat The Original Bamboo Hut, I went to get a scone...IT WAS HUGE, then we took Mylie over to the carnival to ride some rides. She had a BLAST! The weather held up nicely for the whole evening. We watched the parade, stayed for the fireworks, and came home at 11:00. It was a LONG but very fun day!

Garden

So this year my friend bought a couple strawberry bushes and couldn't use one of them, so she brought it over and I attempted my very first garden:) We have had so much fun making sure we water them and check them daily to see if we have any nice ripe strawberries. We had seen success...we have picked over 15 strawberries, but they don't last long, Mylie LOVES eating them just as soon as we wash them.

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day this year! We started the day with grabbing a bite to eat at good ole Cafe Rio. Then we ventured to play some mini golf at Trafalga. It was a lot of fun. Then we spent a couple hours playing arcade games. After we ventured to get some flowers for Grandpa Dave's grave and got stuck in Winco for another hour in the Bulk Foods. LOVE THAT!!! We then went up the the grave and sat and ate our candy and chatted. Then we came back to our house and had French Toast for Dinner. It was a good day.

Nothing cuter than Mylie placing her ball and tapping it in....then ending with a Happy Dance!

Tired Miserable Babies

Needing a little Break...18 was a little much for her.

Shay was a TROOPER through it all. Saturday Night she went to bed with a low grade fever. She woke up whining a little and when I went to check on her, her blanket was soaked from her biting it. So Sunday again she had the low grade fever and progressively got worse throughout the day. So Monday when she woke up fine, we were excited and figured it was just some teething problems. By Monday night, after our long day, she was soooo tired and screamed until I put her down at 6:00 pm. I figured she would sleep a little and wake up and want to eat. Well she woke up at about 8:15 SCREAMING!!! I ran to get her and her fever was at 103.7. I called after hours right away and got in to see the doctor at 9:30.

Well they checked for the obvious ears & throat and found nothing... So they put a catheter in and checked the kidneys, liver, etc. Nothing... They swabbed her for Strep, Negative. So they sent us down to UVRMC for some blood work. It was 11pm by now and we went to the lab...it was closed so we went to the ER because that is where they told us to go....Wrong place again. So we were told to go to admitting and have her admitted for them to draw the blood. My Poor Baby...She was burning up, being poked, drawing blood... I was a mess. It was a good thing Chris was there. Well we were told by the doctor that if something was wrong they would call in the middle of the night and have us come back in.

So pretty much I got NO sleep that night. I sat and held Shaylie all night long. She was so uncomfortable and kept tossing and turning and whining ALL night. Chris took her at about 6am from a little bit and I slept until Mylie came in. After breakfast I went back to bed for a few hours and Chris took the girls.

Well still 4 days later and we are still not knowing what is wrong with Shay. It is so hard to see your baby sooooo sick and not be able to do anything for them. We went to the doctor again and they said there is an infection, but they don't know where. So they put her on an antibiotic to TRY to fix the problem. Her fever has broken for about 18 hours now, but she still looks miserable and wants to sleep ALLLLLL day long. She has big bags under her eyes. She is such a sweet happy baby....I just want her back!! Love you baby girl, we will get you better soon!

Update: Fever Broke on Wednesday and Thursday we had signs of a rash!!!

Jax was born at 2:03 pm and was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long. He is such a cutie. Good job Sissy...& Daveo!
