mommy & me

thursday mom called and said "keep the day open and be at my house at 12:30, i have a sitter for you!" say what?!?!? i was giddy excited!!!!

so i arrived at 12:30 and my daddy was my trusty babysitter. love him!!

mom and i jumped in the car and just started driving. i was asking 100 questions and mom wasn't going to tell me anything.

so we pulled into this lovely spot for lunch....we even had a reservation!! boy did i feel special... plus it is soooooo yummy!!!!

we left soon after lunch to get to another appointment...

we walked into remedez for our appointment on our toes and i realized i was wearing skinny jeans that i couldn't pull up past my calf.... so we ran to gap and bought some pj's....... :)

after the most wonderful pedi, we hit the mall and just shopped. it was so much fun. i had some birthday money and a great fashion guru with me so i was set. we shopped our little hearts out. ps i was still in my pj pants due to not wanting to mess up my toes...

more than anything it was a wonderful day because i got to spend some much needed time with one of my bestest friends. we had such a fun day... we laughed, ate, got pampered, and shopped...what more could you want.

Valentines & My Birthday

This year was WONDERFUL!!!

We started our Monday visiting the grandparents with our own version of Conversation Hearts...{Rice Krispies Treats}

The girls and I ventured up to Salt Lake to get our hair done. {we love Courtney}

We came back and Chris had set up my parents to watch the girls for the night and we headed back to Salt Lake. {Behinana's is my favorite}

We ate a DELICIOIUS dinner, and went to check in at our hotel.

We stayed at Little America and it was wonderful. After we checked in we went to Gateway and walked around, shopped and hoped we'd find some yummy dessert.

We went back to the hotel and I wanted to swim...so we did.

The next morning we went to the Pancake House....{Another FAVORITE}

Then we went to Fashion Place Mall and SHOPPED!!!

After we ventured to IKEA.... {see a pattern to how wonderful this was...}

Then we ventured home...Exhausted.

My parents came over to get us to go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse... {Mmmm}

Corey served us and I had to ride the saddle... {not a fan at all}

LOVED THE ENTIRE 2 DAYS!!!! {I am a spoiled girl, but I know I am loved very much!!!}

she is mine

chris has basketball every thursday night at the stake center and if we what to see him at all that day we go with him. so we got there yesterday and immediately mylie said she needed to go potty. so i said ok let me go give shay to dad and i will be right there. the next thing i know mys is in the bathroom..."prepping" don't mind her sweater is on the floor.....AAHHHH but the toilet paper is covering the seat very nicely...haha

i was trying to teach her how to blow her nose.... she finally looked at me a said "mom, some people can do this...i just don't think its for me!" well, okay?!?! how do i answer that but just laugh...

a coupe days later chris and i were driving to dinner with the girls and chris says "mylie are you ready for preschool?"...she said "not yet dad, mom told me i can't go until i learn how to blow my nose."

Starting 2011 with a BANG!!!

so 2011 started a little like this for us.

i decided on a friday afternoon, the 7th, that the girls and i needed to get out of the house. it had been a pretty long week and i decided that i was ready. so we had naps, got ready, and headed to my parents for the afternoon, we had played for a bit and we were just ready to head home.

it was about 3:00 and i decided to look something up on the computer really quick. shay was right by me and then we got up and went out of the office for 2 minutes to talk to my mom. shay came in following me to talk to my mom and i usually don't wonder where shay is because....she is always by me.

so in comes shay right behind me and i don't' think anything about it but i look down at her and she came in carrying my dads blood pressure meds in a weekly plastic sorter. she had one open and was chomping....I grabbed her and started pulling what i could out and scraping her tongue. I ran to the sink and wouldn't let her swallow and just continued to get what I could out...

well from the looks of what i got out on the carpet on my moms floor and what i scraped out...i didn't know how much she had gotten. so on my way home i called chris and he said call poison control. so i tried a million times and couldn't get through so i called my mom and had her call. she did and they called me right away saying go to the hospital right away because since we don't' know how much she got...it could be bad and they need to monitor her for 4 hours.

well i called chris to have him meet me there. i felt like i was under investigation...it was awful!!! but no one was in the ER and so Shay could just run around and they would get her BP every 30 min. it was a long night...but a huge blessing that she didn't get hardly anything if anything at all...

she had all the nurses laughing and having a good time. i think they need to thank shay for being such an easy patient and wasting 4 hours off their watches... haha

18 months...

shay is soooooo much fun! she is so fun to be around and a little love. she is such a happy girl and will give loves to anyone. she loves her sister so much and is finally enjoying playing with her. she still never wants to take a bath with mylie, fearing she may get water dumped on her. i don't' blame her at all.

shay is starting to watch movies...but not a lot. i can only get a few minutes when i am working in the kitchen or something. she loves NEMO.... what kid doesn't. the other day i went upstairs for a minute while she was watching it... apparently she climbed on the counter got my toblerone and destroyed it and was chomping away when i got back...she loved it.

we think shay is super smart and talks a ton. she loves to sing and definitely dance. she loves to shake her bum and stomp her foot when she dances. she loves books. she is my garbage disposal and mylie is starting to learn when we are not looking to push her food to shay and have her eat it before we see.

shay loved her first couple times in nursery, but then didn't go for a while because of sickness and then she switched classes, so she hasn't gotten use to it. she is usually pretty good about babysitters, but lately has been nervous to be left, especially when we take Mylie with us.
