christmas '09

we had a fantastic christmas this year! the last couple years have really been stressful on me trying to figure out christmas and running around all crazy like trying to get stuff done and chris really helped me this year to just relax and enjoy christmas and that is exactly what we did. we were able to wake up at 9:00 and get all ready and then go get the kids up. mylie was not exactly pleased with having to wake up, even when we told her santa had come...she rolled away from us so we couldn't reach her and said "i don't want santa, i want to sleep." it is so much fun having a 2 1/2 year old...she keeps us laughing. but we were all very SURPRISED this year. i had no idea what to expect but chris always pulls through. mylie helped shay open all of her gifts too...she was having a blast with everything.

we then had uncle trav and his family over for some christmas breakfast. colston was sick so he and lindsey didn't come. we skyped grammy and papa fitch in argentina and had some christmas fun with them too.

we then went over and had christmas with grammy mann and everyone and those were good times too. grandpa mann came over and showed us his hand from burning it on the stove while helping grandma so nurse sharon came to the rescue with the diligent help from the best nurses assistant ever...ME! so that took quite a while and really we just hung out and enjoyed christmas while relaxing.

it was a great year looking back and we have been so blessed.*CLASSIC*

christmas eve

well this year for christmas eve, we kept it very low key. we hung out at our house almost all day and relaxed and enjoyed being together. later that night we went to visit the cowan clan who had come into town and headed down to peaks for their annual ice skating. it was fun to watch all the kiddies just play and have a good time. we then went to grammy mann's and had some finger food goodness and a little program by chris. the girls got their matching jammies to sleep in for christmas. have i mentioned, i love having girls I can match..

{5 months}

shay is now 5 months old and i hardly believe it. she is just as fun as always and has really started to babble a lot. she loves hearing her self talk.

she is starting to sit up really well too. she just likes to sit and eat toys. she has gotten really good at picking up her toys with both hands and getting them up to her mouth. she can also switch hands.
she hasn't had much practice rolling yet because she is either being held or in her bumbo. we will hopefully master that soon. she has yet to try her first taste of food too....that is going to happen this week hopefully. shay has gotten a little sick this week and she has been a real trooper.
we love shay so much. she has the smile that is so contagious. she loves her sister and is so patient letting mylie play with her. we love you little shay shay.
*my's loves her sissy*

(had to share this...girls rock on 2 year old panties...awesome!)

i love the saggy bum....
mylie LOVES wearing her big girl panties and looks so stinkin cute. we started Mylie 2 days before Thanksgiving and that day we just went cold turkey into panties and she had 3 pee pee accidents and not one accident since! she really took to it and she tells me when she needs to go potty now. i am loving not having to change her diapers... WOO HOO.....way to go Princess!

santa...

it has been so much fun watching mylie get so excited about christmas... whenever you ask her what she wants for christmas her usual response is christmas lights...so we drive around almost every night looking at christmas lights. fishbowl had santa come for a visit and while i wouldn't say she loved him...much better then last year.
