Hat Day

today in preschool was hat day... we laid out a whole bunch of hats for mylie to choose... i had picked a really cute hat to go with a cute outfit and her dad said "why don't you wear the Santa Hat...." well she is a very particular person and when she has her mind set on something, she does it. well Santa won.... she was cute though...

so if anyone knows us around here we get a little serious about our flag football season. i always like to pretend it is my team... haha well for the past 4 years that we have played in this league we have one the whole thing... this is no easy feat... we still have lost games but come on strong at the end and take it all. we usually have breakfast before or after the game depending on what time the games are... which has become a fun tradition known as Breakfast Wednesdays. there have not been many games i have missed. i missed one this year because we were flying out way early the next morning to austin and didn't want to be up packing all night and being nauseous.

6 years!!!

Man I am sooooooo lucky to be married to such a great guy and have my amazing kids!!! We decided to spend it as a family and go to Gardner Village and visit the Witches... It was so much fun. We ate at the Bakery and walked around looking at the witches. We are headed to Park City for the weekend.

Austin

austin was a BLAST!!! no like seriously, we had such a great time. i am going to venture out to say out of all the vacations we went on this summer, this took the cake. i was nervous going into it, because i thought "oh no... what are we going to do for 11 days..." welp that wasn't the problem folks i was nervous to come home and have to get back to work. we stayed with todd and heather and had WONDERFUL accommodations and (lots of help with the kids). the kids played really well together and literally all day long. so when mylie woke up in the morning she was quietly slip out of my room, go play and let shay and i sleep as long as we wanted. i could almost count on her being fed as well before i came down. awesome i tell you! so some of the greats of austin...

i knew this day was coming...was i ready? was mylie?

she has been ready for over a year now, me well i'm not so sure anymore.

she missed her very first day of school due to the family reunion in texas, so today was her official first day. she did great. well i don't know yet.

she was great when i dropped her off.

shay on the other hand was so sad she couldn't stay with her sister. they are the best of friends.

i can't believe she is so grown up. i stinkin love this little girl!!!

she picked lasagna for dinner and ice cream cones for dessert for the night before her first day!

this year mylie decided that she wanted to have a

pinkalicious tea party for her girl friends.

it turned out really fun. we had 9 girls over

to our house and had the cutest tea party ever.

everything was pink, including the homemade bread

i made for the sandwiches. after we read a couple pinkalicious

books and headed outside to play pink, pink, pinkalicious

instead of duck duck goose. after we played pin the

heart on the necklace...so girlie. we had a great time.
