4 months

Shaylie is 4 months old. I can't believe it! I really don't know how to describe Shay, because she is the best baby and the cutest one I have ever seen. Ok, so I am the mom, but seriously... Shay is coooing all the time now and has the cutest little giggle. She is very ticklish and loves all the attention. She has become more cuddly, but only when she is tired. I have been enjoying holding her at night before she drifts off and just cuddling her.
She loves her toys and loves to try and eat them. She enjoys listening to the books that I read Mylie at night, and will just sit on my lap and enjoy a good story. Her smile will melt anyone!!! It is so sweet. She sleeps like a champ, still 3 naps and all night. She wakes up at 7ish and wants to eat and will go back down for another 3 hours. She is super strong...she tries to sit up now if I lay her down. She arches her back wanting to get up. She loves to play in the Bumbo too.
Shay has been extra calm the last couple weeks while we were battling sickness. She was very content to just hang out next to me and watch TV for a couple days until I recovered and could play with her.
Mylie loves Shay so much and Shay must love Mylie because she doesn't mind when Mylie is all over her. She is growing so big...
She weighs 13 lbs and 6 oz. 46% and she 24 1/2 inches 71% She is perfect!

...MIA...

So we have been totally missing in action. On the 8th Chris left for a week business trip, I kept myself busy with the girls so the time would go faster. The day he got home, Mylie and I came down with either food poisioning...or the stomach flu. It was awful and we were up most the night. So we recovered for a couple days while Chris took care of us all and then the next day he came down with the much dreaded SWINE!!! He was quarantined in the basement for 5 FULL days to stay away from the girls. The most Mylie saw of her dad was through the window while we were playing outside. So now we are all healthy and feeling quite a bit better. It was a pretty rough 2 weeks. In the middle of all this, our little bro Corey came home from his mission in the Baltics. Chris and Mylie were able to go see him at the airport, but I was still recovering from sickness so I didn't get to go. :( But we are so happy to have him home....My little buddy!

{halloween}

we had a great halloween this year. it was very low key and those are the best kind. friday we headed to fishbowl to see daddy and trick-or-treat his offices. they just recently redecorated the place and it was fun to see all the changes. saturday, chris and i relaxed and cleaned the house and then we got the kiddos ready and took them to karlie & dave's to see the fitch cousies, then to grammy's trunk-or-treat, then we went to visit some of my high school friends, and then we went to hang out with our friends. we ate, played wii, and just had a great night. thanks for all the fun guys!
